  • Exploring, as an investor, whether a stake or ownership change is a good fit, with investments of €50,000 to €2,000,000.
  • Actively contributing to strategy, governance and the next stage of the business.
  • Working with you and management on a suitable transition and division of roles.

What we do not offer

  • We do not supply a ready successor or replacement management.
  • We do not provide tax or legal advice; please involve your own advisers.
  • We make no commitments on outcome or terms before a careful exploration.

Choices in succession

Succession is about more than selling shares. It helps to treat ownership and day-to-day leadership as two separate questions.

Succession as a shareholder

Who becomes (co-)owner of the business? This concerns the transfer of shares, control and the agreements between shareholders.

Succession in day-to-day leadership

Who runs the business day to day? That could be the existing management, a new director or, for a while, you. This question is separate from ownership and needs its own answer.

Your own role in the transition

Will you stay involved for a while, for example as a shareholder, adviser or director? A gradual transition can support continuity, but depends on what you and the other parties want.

All at once or in stages

A partial transfer is different from a full sale and calls for different agreements on control and collaboration.

How an exploration works

  1. 1

    Initial conversation

We discuss your situation, your wishes and the role of management and others involved.

  2. 2

    Mutual fit

Together we assess whether the business and its needs fit our approach.

  3. 3

    Due diligence and structure

If there is a fit, due diligence follows, along with agreements on structure, control and the transition.

  4. 4

    Transition and collaboration

After completion we work together on continuity and the next stage, in line with the agreements made.

The timeline varies by process and depends on factors such as complexity, due diligence and the transaction structure. We discuss the expected timing during our first exploratory conversation.
